Japanese Wooden Festival Mask
Before and After Treatment
This Mask, originally thought to be Chinese, was treated for wood stability issues, and overall dirt and grime from nearly a century of open storage and handling. Through research by the conservator the object was re-identified as Japanese in origin, adding historical context to a unique object.
